4-Day Peer to Peer Intervention & Operational Readiness Training

Train the People Your People Already Trust.

“Tools for Calm Waters in Rough Moments.”

Your people are already the first line of contact when stress hits hard, a teammate starts sliding, or someone is carrying too much and saying too little. TIDE™ equips Peers with practical, usable tools to step in early, steady the moment, lower the temperature, and help move a person toward the right next step of care before strain becomes fallout.

Trauma Informed De-Escalated Engagement

What TIDE™ is, and who it's built for

A trauma-informed course for the non-clinical people who are already holding the line every day.

What is TIDE™?

TIDE™ (Trauma Informed De-Escalated Engagement) is a trauma-informed course designed to empower adults with simple, evidence-based tools to support individuals experiencing trauma, dysregulation, and escalated reactivity.

When the tempo stays high and the load gets heavy, your people don't need more theory. They need practical tools to read stress reactions early, provide real-time calming and regulation, and move a teammate toward the right support — before strain becomes burnout, shutdown, conflict, or crisis.

Who is TIDE™ for?

TIDE™ is designed for non-clinical individuals who are not licensed mental health professionals, who regularly support people in high-stress circumstances and distress — and who want to proactively intervene, knowing with confidence that they are making a difference in the lives of those they serve and love.

The program

Four days of elite intervention skills training

Each day builds on the last — from nervous system science to a durable peer response posture across your organization.

Day 1

Foundations + Experiential ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy)

Nervous system science for high-stress responders. Understanding fight, flight, freeze, and fawn in real peer encounters. Scope, ethics, and confidentiality protocols. Introduction to Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) — an evidence-based modality with proven results that your people should know about. Building a grounded responder presence through co-regulation, pacing, and trust cues under pressure.

Day 2

Peer Engagement Under Pressure

Trauma-informed communication for real conversations — with someone angry, withdrawn, shut down, or not ready to “talk to someone.” Motivational interviewing tools adapted for peers. Movement-based, grounding, and sensory reset techniques. What to say, what never to say, and how to avoid shame, minimization, or accidental overreaction.

Day 3

Practical Intervention Skills and Competence

TIDE™ intervention tools in scenario-based application. Knowing when peer support is enough, when chaplain care fits, and when clinical or crisis escalation is the right call. Warm handoffs that preserve dignity and trust. Documentation boundaries that protect the helper, the member, and the organization.

Day 4

Integration, Leadership + Sustainability

Building a durable peer response posture across your organization. Training trusted leaders to reinforce a culture where asking for support is a strength, not a liability. Aligning peer, chaplain, and existing program offerings for stronger utilization. Final practice, field planning, certification closeout, and next steps.

TIDE™ tools at a glance

Six tools your peers will carry out of the room

Each one is simple enough to use in the moment and specific enough to know when it fits.

Trauma Informed Motivational Interviewing Tool

Conversation-focused

A gentle, person-centered way to talk that helps the person feel heard, explore what matters to them, and decide what feels right for them. Best used when someone wants to share but doesn't know where to start, or is coming down from an emotional moment.

Movement-Based Tool

Tactile-focused

Uses steady left-right movement with feet or hands, such as tapping or drumming, to release tension and help the nervous system reset. Great for moments of agitation, restlessness, or when someone feels “revved up” and can't settle.

Eye Movement Tool

Eye tracking-focused

Uses rapid, side-to-side eye movements to support nervous system regulation. Especially useful when someone is frozen, shut down, or emotionally “stuck.”

Mindfulness & Grounding Tool

Awareness & sensory-focused

Combines simple breathing, body awareness, and sensory exercises to bring someone back into the present. Helpful when someone feels anxious, disconnected, or emotionally flooded.

Visualization & Metaphor Tool

Imagination-focused

Draws on imagery, symbols, or simple metaphors to help a person express intense emotion or shift into a calmer internal state. Useful when words are hard to find, or when someone resonates with creativity or storytelling.

Faith & Spirit Tool

Connection-focused

Helps a person reconnect with a sense of peace, purpose, or sacred support — whether that's God, nature, ancestors, ritual, mindfulness, or quiet prayer. Soothing in times of grief, moral injury, existential fear, or spiritual questioning.

Questions

Before you reach out

Who should attend TIDE™?
Non-clinical people who regularly support others in high-stress circumstances — peer support teams, chaplains, caregivers, educators, parents, and community workers. Participants are not licensed mental health professionals, and they must be Peer Support Tier 1 Certified.
Does my team need to be Peer Support Tier 1 Certified first?
Yes. TIDE™ builds on Tier 1 skills, so participants must hold that certification before the training. If your team is partially certified or not certified yet, tell us on the call and we'll talk through the path to get there.
How long is the training?
Four full training days, delivered in sequence. Day 1 covers foundations and experiential ART, Day 2 is peer engagement under pressure, Day 3 is practical intervention skills, and Day 4 is integration, leadership, and sustainability.
Do participants receive a certification?
Yes. Participants who complete the four days earn TIDE™ Certification, closing out on Day 4 with final practice and field planning.
Is this a clinical program?
No. TIDE™ is trauma-informed training for non-clinical helpers. A core part of the program is knowing when peer support is enough, when chaplain care fits, and when clinical or crisis escalation is the right call — with warm handoffs and documentation boundaries that protect everyone involved.
What happens after I request a call?
A member of the MyOmnia team will reach out to schedule a conversation. We'll cover your team, timing, prerequisites, and the program investment, and answer anything else you want to know before you decide.
